Toni L Imfeld

Attorney at Law

Toni Imfeld and Mark Clausen have worked together for over a decade. Ms. Imfeld is of counsel, with more than 20 years’ experience as an attorney. She has handled a wide variety of cases, with particular experience in multimillion dollar litigation with multiple defendants. She is among the best at managing cases with a large number of documents and issues. In addition, she has training in life and disability insurance matters.

Ms. Imfeld received her bachelor’s degree in 1980 from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and her law degree in 1983 from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. After law school, she served as a law clerk for Presiding Judge Robert A. Matthews of the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, and moved to Seattle in 1986. She has practiced law in Seattle since then.

Robert J. Monjay

Attorney at Law

Robert J. Monjay is a litigation attorney focusing primarily on real estate and small business matters. He also counsels small businesses on a variety of issues, including entity formation, corporate structure and risk avoidance. He also represents individuals and small businesses in negotiations, primarily for the purchase and sale of real estate. Mr. Monjay is licensed in both state and federal courts in Washington and Nevada and is experienced in multi state/and multi party litigation.

Mr. Monjay is a Seattle native. He grew up near Greenlake and attended Ballard High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. Mr. Monjay then attended Law School at Seattle University, graduating cum laude. Prior to entering practice, Mr. Monjay lived and worked in the Hague, Netherlands while participating in a clerkship with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, a war crimes tribunal established by the United Nations.

Steven M. Malek

Steve Malek has practiced law for more than 23 years.  For the last eight years he has exclusively practiced in the area of plaintiff’s personal injury law.  After graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto in 1982, Mr. Malek practiced as a barrister before the Canadian courts in Ontario and Quebec, including appearances as counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada.  He honed his trial practice and advocacy skills in personal injury and criminal defense cases, as well as in representing physicians in disciplinary matters.  Since establishing his practice in Seattle in 1999, Mr. Malek has focused his entire attention on personal injury litigation in order to provide individuals who have been injured through the fault of others with exceptional legal representation that never loses sight of the priorities and needs of the individual client.

Mr. Malek is dedicated to the preservation of the rights of all injured persons in Washington State and he is an Eagle member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and the national trial lawyers’ organization, the American Association for Justice.  He is also a member of the Northwest group of the Trial Lawyers College. He works aggressively and passionately to obtain full compensation for injured persons and from the moment the client chooses to retain the Firm and we accept the engagement, the client’s case is developed with a view that it will go to trial.  Our case management procedures are designed to ensure that the case is as fully developed as possible and that the client is kept fully informed each step along the way. This attention to detail and thorough preparation only serve to enhance our ability to obtain great results, whether by settlement, arbitration or trial.

Steve and his wife Colleen, a prominent interior designer, live on Mercer Island. They have 4 children and 1 grandchild (so far). An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, after his family he devotes his spare time to those activities and coaching local youth teams.

Jenni Frere Volk

Attorney at Law

Jenni was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington. She also had the pleasure of living in eastern Washington for four years while attending Whitman College in Walla Walla. Whitman provided her with a solid foundation to become a successful, well-rounded attorney. Ms. Volk went on to graduate magna cum laude from Seattle University School of Law.

Ms. Volk’s practice focuses primarily on estate planning and probate matters.  Although the subject of death can be delicate, Ms. Volk became interested in teaching others about estate planning and probate so that they could take comfort in knowing that their loved ones would be taken care of upon their passing.

Ms. Volk is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and is currently the co-chairman/co-founder of the WSBA YLD’s Wills for Heroes program in Washington, a program that provides free estate planning services to first responders in our community such as police officers and fire fighters. Ms. Volk also volunteers on the Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Steering Committee and on the alumni planning committee for Whitman College.

Ms. Volk currently lives in Seattle with her husband, Ben, and her orange-tabby, Lola. She is a member of a number of dining/culinary clubs and is always excited to give food, restaurant and wine advice.
